Jacksonville/Onslow Habitat for Humanity has chosen a family for its second Jacksonville home. The new homeowner was chosen from several applicants and will be notified on Friday, January 18. Habitat board members and volunteers will meet at 10:15 a.m. at the Habitat Resale store at 1909 Lejeune Blvd. in Jacksonville and then travel to the homeowner’s employer in a nearby location where the announcement will be made.
Jacksonville/Onslow Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-profit ecumenical Christian organization with the goal of ending poverty housing. Since its inception in 2005, the organization has partnered with volunteers and homeowners to build and renovate simple decent homes in Onslow County .
