WINTERVILLE—Pitt Community College staff plan to make filling out financial aid forms a considerably easier process for high school seniors in Pitt and Beaufort counties next month.
On Feb. 9, PCC financial aid personnel will work with students and parents from the two counties on completing Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will take place in the Raymond Reddrick Building, Room 227 on Pitt’s main campus.
Students planning to participate in FAFSA Day must bring their family’s 2007 tax information with them in order to complete financial aid forms.
In addition to FAFSA assistance, PCC program coordinators will be on hand in Reddrick 242 to discuss educational opportunities available at Pitt. Representatives from the college’s Placement Testing and Admissions Department will also be available to answer questions.
PCC administrators expect a good turnout for next month’s event. In 2006, FAFSA Day drew more than 150 students to the Pitt campus.
