This morning the US House voted to override the president's veto of the 2008 Defense Spending Bill. The bill contains language that says site "C" in Washington and Beaufort counties can not be used for an outlying landing field. Representative G.K. Butterfiled is leading the fight. The house passed the budget last month, but the President Bush vetoed it. The bill now goes back to the senate. If approved, the president is expected to sign the compromise bill.
