The first of five (5) playgrounds budgeted this year has been installed at the McDonald Downs subdivision off US Hwy 70 West at the west end of Havelock, just past the Slocum Gate.
The playground is up and taped off until surface material can be delivered and put in the area surrounding the equipment.
The public is asked to refrain from using the park until the surface material is installed and the tape removed. This is for your safety.
The park is expected to be useable within the next week.
The last playground to be installed will be at the Recreation Complex on NC Hwy 101 near the Little League fields.
