Early Registration Deadline for “Get Hooked” Fishing School
The North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores will offer the annual “Get Hooked” Fishing School on Saturday, March 15 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Experts in a variety of fishing techniques present workshops throughout the day. Participants can take part in up to five workshops, and also receive lunch and chances to win fishing gear. Early registration, $40, ends February 21. Registration between Feb. 22 and March 10 is $50. To register, call 252-247-4003.

Leap Day! “Year of the Frog” Kickoff
 
Hop to the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores for the kickoff of the “Year of the Frog” celebration – a nation-wide zoo and aquarium effort to help save amphibians. Spring Programs Begin at the Aquarium

Breakfast with the Rays

Behind-the-Scenes – Aquarium At a Glance
4 – 4:45 p.m.
Go behind the scenes of the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. Visit food preparation areas, animal holding areas and labs, and get a look at the Living Shipwreck exhibit from above. Ages 6 and up. Registration required, $5. Details, 252-247-4003.

Succulent Seafood
2 – 4 p.m.
Visit local restaurants with the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and learn as the area’s top chefs dish out tips on how to prepare fresh local seafood with a flourish. Sessions include a taste test! Ages 12 and up. Registration required, $15. Details, 252-247-4003.

Behind-the-Scenes: Aquarium Close Encounters
2 – 3:30 p.m.
Go behind the scenes of the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. Visit labs and holding areas, help with food preparation and feed the animals in this thorough tour that includes a look at the Living Shipwreck from above. Ages 6 and up.Registration required, $10. Details, 252-247-4003.

Dinner with the Critters
6 - 7:30 p.m.
