Folks braved the cold all across the east on Monday to pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
For so many, this day is more than just time off from work -- it's a chance to remember a man's dream, and to make sure his legacy lives on.

They carried signs, sang “We Shall Overcome” and reminded each other of the importance of reflecting on King’s message.
“It's important -- especially at a time like this in our history,” said Pastor James E. Brown, “that persons let others know that the dream is still worth living and it is much alive.”
This is the first year the “Keeping the Dream Alive Committee” held its march, but organizers hope to make it an annual tradition.
