Store Employee Arrested For Embezzlement

On January 18, 2007, New Bern Police officers arrested an employee for stealing money and merchandise from the Game Stop store in the Twin Rivers Mall.
 
Store management reported Heather Brooks GARDNER, 11/25/1987, of 615 Middle Street, had been involved in fraudulent transactions while working at the business. They also reported that GARDNER took electronic equipment and games from the store. 
 
GARDNER was arrested and charged with four counts of Embezzlement and one count of Larceny by an Employee. She was placed in the Craven County Jail under a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court January 22, 2008.
