New Bern Police Investigate Armed Robbery

On January 21, 2007, at 10:35 p.m., New Bern Police responded to an armed robbery at 3811 Weatherstone Park Road.

When officers arrived, a female victim reported that she had been robbed at gunpoint while she was sitting on her porch smoking. She said a black male in his early twenties walked up, pointed a gun at her and demanded money. The victim threw her purse to the suspect, who fled on foot.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweat shirt and dark gray sweat pants. The suspect is described as 6’1” tall and 160 pounds.

Police K-9’s searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police at (252) 633-2020.
