BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) - Republican presidential candidates take the stage tonight in Florida for a prime-time debate.
The debate comes five days before the state's primary and will be broadcast on MSNBC.
For John McCain and Mitt Romney, the debate gives them a chance to step out in the struggle for victory next week. Both are seen as frontrunners in the state.
The debate may also be a last chance for Mike Huckabee and Rudy Giuliani to prove that they're still viable contenders in the race. Giuliani has spent two weeks campaigning in Florida, while Huckabee has only campaigned sporadically.
Congressman Ron Paul will also be in the debate.
Florida's primary offers 57 Republican National Convention delegates to the winner. It's the last vote before a virtual national primary on February 5th.
