No injuries reported at Arkansas meat plant

BOONEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Officials in Arkansas say the safest way to deal with a blaze at a meat packing plant may be to let the fire burn itself out. However, it isn't immediately clear how long that will take.

Firefighters haven't been able to fight the blaze because the fire contains ammonia.

The explosion has forced at least 180 people from their homes, but emergency responders say no one working at the plant was injured.

A spokesman for Cargill says the plant is closed Sundays but that about 20 contractors and a few other employees were at the site at the time of the fire.
