OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Four months after he was declared brain dead and doctors were about to remove his organs for transplant, an Oklahoma man says he feels "pretty good."
Zach Dunlap was pronounced dead back on November 19th at a Wichita Falls, Texas, hospital after he was injured in an all-terrain vehicle accident.
His family approved having his organs harvested, and were paying their last respects when Dunlap moved his foot and hand.
He was sent home 48 days later. The 21-year-old continues to recover.
Appearing this morning on NBC's "Today" show, Dunlap says among the things he remembers was hearing the doctors pronounce him dead.
His mother says discovering that her son was really alive "was the most miraculous feeling."
