SANFORD, Fla. (AP) - Police say a one-day-old baby who was taken from a Florida hospital has been found, and two suspects are in custody.

The baby was abducted from a secure hospital unit today at Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford.

Hospital officials alerted police, after hospital alarms indicated that the child had been removed from the newborn unit. A police official says the hospital was locked down, and police searched the grounds.

Police in the nearby town of Lake Mary then pulled over a vehicle that matched a description by witnesses outside the hospital. Police say the baby was found inside, along with two women who they say had been seen earlier at the hospital, acting suspiciously.

Both women are in custody and being questioned. Police say the baby appears to be OK.
