On 3/6/2007 Annabelle’s Restaurant reported questionable credit card transactions to the New Bern Police Department. Detectives began to investigate the suspicious activities and identified Sharlyn MITCHELL, D.O.B. 3/4/1977 as the suspect in the case.
Warrants were obtained for MITCHELL but officers discovered that she had left the area just prior to the discovery of the transactions. MITCHELL was apprehended by the Myrtle Beach Police Department, Myrtle Beach South Carolina and was turned over to the New Bern Police Department today.
MITCHELL was charged with 2 counts of Financial Transaction Card Fraud, 2 counts of obtaining property by false pretenses and was booked into the Craven County Jail under a $75,000.00 secured bond with a first appearance of 5/5/2008.
