Students Graduate From D.A.R.E. Program

It was a big day for more than 200 fifth graders at one elementary school today. The 10 and 11- year -olds at Wintergreen Intermediate School graduated from the D.A.R.E. Program.  They chose 10 students to read essays about what they've learned about drugs, gangs, violence and peer pressure, during the 10-week session. DARE has been around for 25 years and is in 75 percent of school districts nationwide and 43 countries.
