You may remember Bill Grimm was at the center of the investigation surrounding Jaquan Waller’s death.
Waller died in September from head injuries known as second impact syndrome. He got hit twice on the field in separate instances.
According to Pitt County Schools’ Public Information Officer Heather Mayo, Grimm is no longer working with athletics in the district.
Grimm is still a teacher’s assistant at J. H Rose High School.
Mayo says Grimm’s employment status is a personnel decision and because of that she can’t release details as to why he isn’t working in athletics any longer.
Meanwhile, the district is still working to try to staff certified athletic trainers at every high school in the county.
