HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (AP) - A guy walks into a bar with an alligator.
No, really -- no joke. It happened over the weekend in Huntington Beach, California. A man arrived at Johnny's Saloon with his 3-foot pet gator on a leash.
By the time police and animal control officers arrived, the gator was in the man's vehicle in the parking lot. Officers followed the man home, where they found another alligator.
Both were impounded, and are being held pending an investigation by the Department of Fish and Game.
Alligators are not native to California and it is illegal to keep them as pets.
