MEBANE, N.C. (AP) - Authorities said a 12-year-old boy stabbed and critically injured a 15-year-old boy in a North Carolina mobile home park amid an ongoing dispute between the boys.
The Greensboro News & Record reported Wednesday the teenager underwent surgery after being airlifted to a hospital Tuesday evening. The 12-year-old is being held at a juvenile detention facility for assault with a deadly weapon.
Alamance County sheriff's officials said the 15-year-old was stabbed in the chest with a folding knife at the Wishing Well Mobile Home Park. The knife was later recovered.
Officials said the two lived near each other. Details of the boys' dispute and their names haven't been released.
