So you've eaten dinner, maybe napped a little bit, but what do you do with all your leftovers?

Nine is on your side making sure your food is safe to eat again.

NSF Public Health and Safety says to refrigerate or freeze your leftovers two hours after you've prepared them.

If you freeze the leftovers, never try thawing them at room temperature; put them in the refrigerator or microwave.

And if you have lots of left-overs from one item, separate it into smaller containers to keep bacterial growth away.

Left-overs handled correctly can be kept in the fridge for up to four days.
