Being a teenager is tough and saying no to peer pressure these days can be even tougher. Teachers and faculty at Southside High School are making sure their students are ready to make the right decisions when it comes to drinking and driving. It's part of the VIP for a VIP program. Teens participated in a simulated accident and saw the results of those that have happened in real life. Officials say it gives them the opportunity to see how important every decision is. They hope this will help students make the right decisions the next time they get behind the wheel.

"Before any one of them gets into a vehicle or any type of situation that can adversely affect them, they will take a minute to stop and think, think about themselves, their parents, families, friends, classmates," Southside High School Principal Rick Anderson said.

The program started in Guilford County back in 1998.
