Accused U.S. Marine Cesar Laurean is fighting his extradition from Mexico back home to Onslow County.
Laurean is accused of murdering pregnant fellow Marine Maria Lauderbach earlier this year. Her body and that of her unborn baby were found in a fire pit on Laurean's property.
His attorney, Dick McNeil, tells Eyewitness News 9 that his client has filed an extradition appeal in a Mexican court. Mexican authorities arrested Laurean in April 2008.
