We have a scam alert to tell you about this afternoon.

Greenville Police say two suspects have been involved in a local scam operation that may be targeting the elderly.

In one incident, police say the couple approached an elderly victim saying they're with Greenville Utilities and needed to check the victim’s residence for a leak.

While inside, the pair stole several items from the home.

In another incident involving an elderly woman, the suspects said they worked for the City of Greenville and needed to trim branches before bad weather came.

While the female suspect distracted the victim, the male suspect entered her home and went through several items.

The suspects are described as a white male, 5'10" with dark hair that is in a "spiked" style. He appears to be in his late 20's or early 30's.

The female suspect is described as a white female, 5'4", blonde hair, blue eyes, and appears to be in her late 20's or early 30's.

The suspect vehicle is described as a large, white "SUV" type vehicle with a large chrome grill or bumper.
