ECU will play host to West Virginia for the first home football game of the 2008 season. The game is scheduled for this Saturday with kick off at 4:30 PM. Traffic is still expected to be heavy around the Stadium particularly on Charles Boulevard and E. 14th Street. ECU parking lots will open at 1:30 PM. This time is subject to change due to Tropical Storm/Hurricane Hanna.

Motorist not traveling to the game should try to avoid the following streets around the stadium; Charles Blvd, Fourteenth Street, Elm Street and Greenville Blvd. Traffic on these roadways will be extremely heavy prior to the game and after the game.

The Greenville Police Department and the North Carolina Highway Patrol will be working traffic post along these routes prior to the game and at the conclusion of the game. The following traffic restrictions will be in place at the conclusion of the game to expedite the flow of traffic leaving the game. Motorist can expect these restrictions to be put in place around 6:45 PM.

1. Fourteenth Street will be closed for all east bound traffic at College Hill.
No traffic will be allowed west on Fourteenth Street from Elm Street. All east
bound traffic from Charles Blvd on Fourteenth Street will be diverted on to
College Hill. No traffic will be allowed into the stadium until traffic has
cleared from Berkley Road. All traffic leaving the C. M. Eppes School leased
parking on Fourteenth Street will be sent west on Fourteenth Street towards
Charles Blvd.

2. Berkley Road leaving the stadium will have 3 lanes set up all turning right on to
Fourteenth Street. Fourteenth Street will be coned off allowing three east bound
lanes to Elm Street. At the intersection of Elm Street motorist in the right hand
lane will turn right onto Elm Street, the center lane will continue straight on
Fourteenth Street and the left lane will turn left on Elm Street towards Tenth
Street.

3. Charles Blvd will be closed to South Bound traffic at Fourteenth Street. All
traffic traveling south on Charles Blvd from Tenth Street will be diverted onto
Fourteenth Street. No traffic traveling west on Fourteenth will be allowed to make
left turns on to Charles Blvd. At Greenville Blvd and Charles Blvd no traffic will
be allowed north on Charles Blvd. All north bound traffic on Charles Blvd from Red
Banks Road will be diverted right onto Greenville Blvd.

Motorist should be patient, Officers will work diligently to get traffic congestion worked out as quickly as possible. Normally theses traffic restrictions are less than one hour, but could last longer.
