Local artist, apply for new grant and win funding

The Arts Council of Wayne County in conjunction with the Community Council for the Arts seeks to inform local artists of project funding through the Regional Artist Project Grants.

The Arts Council of Wayne County in conjunction with the Community Council for the Arts seeks to inform local artists of project funding through the Regional Artist Project Grants. The Regional Artist Project Grant is a wonderful opportunity for local developing professionals to advance their artistic career while stretching their creative wings through new and innovative projects that will enrich our regional community.

The Regional Artist Project Grant is a grant that provides project assistance for developing artists in the fields of visual, performing, and literary art. The particular project to be funded by this grant is intended to conclude no later than June 30, 2009. Those pursuing a professional career in the arts and who have also completed the basic education in their art form are encouraged to apply.

The Regional Artist Project Grant is supported by the following counties: Beaufort, Bertie, Camden, Carteret, Chowan, Craven, Currituck, Dare, Duplin, Edgecomb, Gates, Greene, Halifax, Hertford, Hyde, Jones Lenoir, Martin, Nash Northampton, Onslow, Pamlico, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Pitt, Tyrrell, Washington, Wayne, Wilson and the North Carolina Arts Council, a state agency.

The Deadline for the Regional Artist Project Grants is October 6, 2008 by 5:00 pm.

Applications will be received at the Arts Council of Wayne County or your local arts council by October 6, 2008 at 5:00 pm.
