JACKSONVILLE, NC – Onslow Community Ministries, Inc. (OCMI) is pleased to host “Onslow Oktoberfest” on Saturday, October 25th from 10am-6pm in the Riverwalk Crossing Park at 421 Court Street in Downtown Jacksonville. Presented by National Volkswagen, this FREE open-air street festival will be fun for the entire community! Details are available at www.OnslowOktoberfest.org.

Over 45 commercial, food, craft and non-profit vendors have already registered. Limited booth space is still available. Discounted rates are still valid for non-profits and crafters through September 30th.

Polka music, traditional Maypole dancing, artisans, commercial vendors, and a variety of foods and beverages are part of the day’s offerings. Johnsonville has donated over 2,000 bratwursts for sale at this event. In addition to brats and sauerkraut, there will be hot dogs, Italian Sausage, funnel cakes, chocolate pretzels & more!

This festival will be a signature fundraising event for OCMI, which manages the Homeless Shelter, Soup Kitchen, Free Medical Clinic, Volunteer Center and Christmas Cheer Program. The demand for basic services at these facilities had dramatically increased during this economic downturn. Now the organization that helps those in need is in need itself.

If you would like information about Onslow Community Ministries or the Onslow Oktoberfest, call 910-455-5733 or visit www.OnslowOktoberfest.org.
