Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a six-week education program for family and friends caring for older adults who have stroke, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease or similar long-term conditions. Through six 1.5 hour sessions held on a weekly basis, caregivers learn to reduce stress, improve self-confidence, better communicate feelings, and locate helpful resources. Attendees also learn how to increase their ability to make tough decisions and balance their lives.
There is no cost for the course and participants will receive a copy of The Caregiver Helpbook.

For more information or to register, contact Onslow County Senior Services at 910-455-2747, ext 228.
