(Onslow County) The Proposed 2009 - 2011 Onslow County Work First Plan will be available for public comment from September 29, 2008 to October 10, 2008 at the following locations:
• All branches of the Onslow County Public Library
• Onslow County Department of Social Services, 1915 Onslow Drive Extension
• Onslow County Administration Office, 118 Old Bridge Street
This is an update of the plan that has been in place since July 1997. All North Carolina counties are required to update their plans that take affect in July 2009. The Work First Plan was reviewed by a stakeholders committee and is scheduled to be reviewed by the Board of Social Services on October 15. The Onslow County Board of Commissioners will vote on the plan in November.
Comments on the plan may be made in writing and dropped at the Onslow County Department of Social Services, located at 1915 Onslow Drive Extension or by calling Julia Collins at 938-5403.
