The Onslow County Chapter has scheduled training classes for people wanting to volunteer locally and hurricane-damaged areas in Texas and Louisiana. Volunteers should be healthy, able to lift 25 lbs, and pass a background check. The American Red Cross anticipates that the sheltering and feeding operation in the Gulf Coast area will be ongoing for an extended period of time and many volunteers are needed.
