Thursday the North Carolina House narrowly approved a bill that would give parents of seventh, eighth and ninth graders three options.

Parents might have some new options soon when it comes to sex education for their children.

Thursday the North Carolina House narrowly approved a bill that would give parents of seventh, eighth and ninth graders three options.

One would focus on abstinence until marriage. Another would include more information about contraception. And lastly, parents could choose that their child receive no sex education.

Now the bill goes to the state senate.
