Body of Carteret County man found in West Virginia

They traced him back to Carteret County by running the serial number on his pacemaker. His name is Andrew Mulvany, Jr.

Deputies in West Virginia found a man's body dumped on the side of a highway and they say he's from Carteret County.

They found the body two days ago in a trash container on the side of I-64 in Cabell County.

They traced him back to Carteret County by running the serial number on his pacemaker.

His name is Andrew Mulvany, Jr.

Cabell County authorities have asked Carteret County for help with this investigation.

John Querry with the Careteret County Sheriff's Office says he has given Cabell County deputies the name of a person of interest who may have been traveling with Mulvany and who has ties to West Virginia.

No suspect names have been released and investigators are releasing the cause of death.
