Could breast feeding be better for both your baby and the environment?
That’s the word from experts with the Pitt County Breastfeeding Advisory Council, Pitt County Memorial Hospital and the La Leche League, who sponsored an informational event today.
It’s for World Breastfeeding Week which encourages expectant mothers to feed their babies naturally instead of using formula.
Experts at the event say babies who are breast fed are less likely to get diabetes, colic and many infections.
They say breast feeding is better for the environment, as bottle feeding creates more trash.
