Another Democrat has joined the U.S. Senate race to unseat incumbant Republican Richard Burr.
Former State Senator Cal Cunningham is now in the race. The lawyer from Davidson County began considering a bid for the U.S Senate last spring. He's visited 45 counties to get in touch with voters and their concerns. Just last month Cunningham declared he would not enter the race.
Monday he said, he sees a better chance of winning than he did last month. Cunningham and his family live in Lexington.
