If you want to know more about your doctor, now you can find it with the click of a mouse. The North Carolina Medical Board has expanded its web site to include background information on its 35,000 licensed physicians and physician assistants. You can check whether doctors have been convicted of crimes or been sued for malpractice.

The North Carolina Medical Board has expanded its web site to include background information on its 35,000 licensed physicians and physician assistants. You can check whether doctors have been convicted of crimes or been sued for malpractice.
Fewer than 1 percent have reported malpractice payments since may 2008, the starting date for the reporting requirement.
