HOPE MILLS, N.C. (AP) - A New York woman has died of her injuries, days after a North Carolina crash that also killed her boyfriend and two others.
Multiple media outlets report 32-year-old Brooke Paquin of Lima, N.Y., died Saturday at a Wilmington hospital.
Authorities said Paquin was riding with 26-year-old Tristan Hanna of Webster, N.Y., last Thursday, when his car crossed the center line and hit a sport utility vehicle in Hope Mills.
Hanna died. The SUV driver, 26-year-old Hien Truong of Parkton, and his 11-month-old daughter also died; 26-year-old Huyen Truong remained in a hospital Monday in good condition.
Police have said Hanna was speeding.
Police said Hanna was a contract nurse for a local hospital moving back to New York. His roommate told police Hanna planned to ask Paquin to marry him.
