The University of North Carolina basketball team coasted to an easy win over Presbyterian College Saturday night, but it came with some tension in the stands at Chapel Hill.
During the Tar Heels’ 103 - 64 victory over Presbyterian, Coach Roy Williams didn't like a fan heckling one of his players at the free throw line. So, Williams had security toss the fan out of the stadium.
"I just don't think anyone should yell anything negative to our players,” Williams said later.
The rowdy fan has now been identified as Brian King of Concord. Associate Athletic Director Steve Kirshner said King was drunk and didn't have a ticket to sit right behind the Carolina bench.
King said he didn't think anyone would notice when he moved from his original seat to join some friend sitting in that section.
