ROME (AP) - Facebook in Italy says it's examining anything that's been posted that involves Premier Silvio Berlusconi.
Some of Berlusconi's allies have been urging the government to crack down on Web sites that contain material inciting people to political violence or hatred. The premier was attacked last weekend while signing autographs at a rally.
Italy's interior minister says officials aren't proposing censorship. But he says the Cabinet will take up a measure tomorrow that will allow magistrates to remove Web pages that instigate or advocate violence.
Facebook said it will remove any content "that directly threatens or supports violent acts against persons."
Berlusconi, who suffered a broken nose and two broken teeth, is expected to be released from hospital today.
