State health officials have something to proud of today and it may make you feel good too.

North Carolina and six other states received the country's highest public health readiness ratings issued by the "Trust for America's Health".

While the trust found that the H1N1 flu outbreak has exposed serious underlying gaps in the nation's ability to respond to public health emergencies, North Carolina was not shown to be lacking in that area.
