BBB: Scammers targeting the unemployed looking for work

Thousands of people in our state are out of work and scammers hope the unemployed will take advantage of alleged job opportunities.

Thousands of people in our state are out of work and scammers hope the unemployed will take advantage of alleged job opportunities.

The Better Business Bureau says it's received a number of reports of people looking for financial and personal information from people applying for jobs through online classified sites.

Before applying for any job, the BBB says you should research the company.

If you can't find a contact person, address or number, it's probably a hoax.

And as always, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
