The search continues for two suspects involved with the shooting of a North Carolina police officer on Sunday.
Sanford police say Officer Scott Norton was shot five times while patrolling a mobile home park.
Authorities say Norton and another officer saw four suspicious people while patrolling, and approached them.
They say one or two of the suspects began firing, hitting Norton.
Norton was wearing a bullet proof vest and did not suffer any life-threatening injuries. The other officer was not hit.
Police have arrested two people, and are still searching for other suspects.
The two officers were in the mobile home park in the first place because of its high crime rate. Police recently increased patrols there.
