President Obama put his holiday vacation on hold today to discuss the findings on a national security report prompted by the botched attack on a US plane.

In the report, disturbing details on how Umar Abdul-Mutallab slipped through terrorism databases.

Intelligence agencies knew there might be a Christmas attack, but failed to connect clues fast enough between the agencies.

Senior officials will meet with leaders from major international airports to review passenger safety procedures.

"Quite simply what went wrong is the lack of communication between the State Department, the intelligence community and Department of Homeland Security," said Sen. Richard Burr, Elect Committee on Intelligence.

Meanwhile the suspect, Abdul-Mutallab remains in jail. Investigators say he's not talking.
