Students in the east are celebrating 100 years of service by helping the troops.
The 4-H “Wizz Kids” from Pitt County and several soldiers from Fort Bragg spent the day packing 100 boxes to celebrate 4-H’s birthday.
The boxes were filled with soap, books, food and other items, as well as a letter. Each box has enough supplied for 10 to 15 soldiers.
Tracy Stead with the Pitt County 4-H said, "4-H is about the community, the country and the world and how we can serve them and grow in leadership. In helping our soldiers, we are reaching all of those."
Give To The Troops is asking for your help with food donations.
