Our story about a proposal to ban cell phone use while driving got some response this week. The biggest problems is, a legislative committee changed the bill to allow drivers to use their cell phones to talk with their families that turned out to be controversial and it drew an angry response from one viewer.
"I think it’s pretty stupid for them to say, that it's alright to call a family member. You can have an accident just as well talking to a family member as you can a friend or a neighbor down the road. What is wrong with these people, these telephones need to be banned completely with the driver in an automobile."
And on our story about two men who plan to open a micro brewery at an old factory in downtown Kinston, we got this response:
Robert McLamb wrote:
“A brewery in Kinston is a bad idea. Regardless how the economy is struggling, adding a brewery will be more of a moral issue and less of a job opportunity.”
I also got this email from Ricky Moore, who says he noticed the temperature drops to its lowest point just before the sun comes up, more so in the winter than in the summer. He wants to know why so we turned to chief meteorologist Phillip Williams.
