ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Nearly eight months after the election, Al Franken got the word: he's the new senator from Minnesota. Franken won the seat by just 312 votes so he says he really has to earn the trust of the people who didn't vote for him. Maybe his new career is not such a long way from "Saturday Night Live," where Franken had two stints from 1975-1980 and 1985-1995 since recently SNL has pushed its political humor.
