In today’s economy, some city officials are changing their approach to save money.
On Tuesday night a good turn out and a novel approach to a town hall meeting in Greenville.
To save a few dollars, Mayor Pro Tem Mildred Council and Councilwoman Rose Glover combined their district meetings, rather than holding separate ones. They are the longest serving members on the City council. Glover has one decade under her belt, Council has two.
They say it was the right move to bring the people of their two districts together.
“By having a meeting like this” Rose Glover said,” and by having everyone together and talking, and realizing that basically most of them have the same problems in both districts.”
Both council and Glover along with other leaders in Greenville government made presentations and took questions
