A new product that may help people quit smoking, is filtering into the U.S. It's called the Electronic Cigarette.

Users say these battery-operated fake cigarettes feel like the real thing, but without the tobacco.

Every time smokers take a drag, the E-cigarette produces a vapor mist like smoke, and delivers a small dose of liquid nicotine.

Some smokers say it helps them reduce their dependency on nicotine.

“What they should try to do is try to get the tobacco out of their bodies, and this device undoubtedly affords them the opportunity to do that,” said Dr. David Baron, with the Electronic Cigarettes Association.

However, the FDA does not recommend using E-cigarettes. It has blocked foreign shipments of Electronic Cigarettes into the U.S.

The FDA says more testing needs to be done.
