BAKERSVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Authorities are searching for two young children missing at a western North Carolina mountain park near the Tennessee state line. The Mitchell County Sheriff's Office said Thursday that a search is being conducted for 6-year-old Alexander Lee Suddeath and 4-year-old Heidi Elizabeth Suddeath. The office said the children's parents were returning to a parking lot on Roan Mountain when they lost sight of the children. Alexander Suddeath was wearing a yellow shirt and blue shorts. His sister was wearing a pink skirt and purple shirt.
