Washington High Students Win $100,000 Cash Prize

US Cellular presented Washington High School with a $100,000 check

A local high school earned the grand prize of a nationwide contest.
Guaranteeing several students a spot in college.
US Cellular presented Washington High School with a $100,000 check.
It was one of ten winners of US Cellular’s Calling All Communities Contest.
Alumni and people living in Washington cast ballots for their top schools at the nearest US Cellular store.
School principal Russell Holloman says the lump sum will be invested in the students.
“Post education is a big push for us and we want to make sure we can make it as affordable as we can for at least some students,” Holloman said.
Washington High School was chosen out of roughly 6,500 other schools.
