Washington Co. Fire Cause

Possible cause for brush fire

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Washington County Forest Ranger Jimmy Davenport says he thinks a cigarette tossed from a passing car is to blame for yesterday's brush fire near Plymouth.
The fire started near the intersection of highways 64 and 32. It burned about 30 acres. The flames scorched the siding on one house.
Investigators say it doesn't take much to ignite the grass along the shoulder of the road this time of year.
