A Pitt County Schools teacher resigned following a charge of indecent liberties with a child.
Wilmington Police arrested 27-year-old Jessica Wishnask on Saturday, charging the 8th grade Language Arts teacher of Pactolus Elementary with one count of indecent liberties with a 15-year-old.
She was taken to New Hanover County Jail and released on bond.
Wishnask has worked at Pactolus Elementary since February.
Pitt County Schools spokesperson Heather Mayo tells Nine On Your Side Wishnask resigned from her job Monday.
