Police are trying to find out if two carjackings last week are connected.

Plymouth Police Captain Willie Williams says his department's been in contact with Washington Police about the carjackings.

A gunman forced Nidia Martinez into her car last tuesday in Washington.

She used her cell phone so her husband could track her down.

Then on Friday, 75-year-old Violet Bartley jumped out of her Cadillac to escape a carjacking.

Police say it's too early to say if they're looking for the same person.

The two departments plan to meet face to face today.
