A grieving community came together to remember the four lives lost in a tragic murder-suicide in Fayetteville.
Hundreds of people gathered at the candlelight vigil on Tuesday night.
Police say real estate developer, William Maxwell, shot and killed his wife and two teenage children, and then committed suicide in their Fayetteville home.
Police remain unclear about the motive.
Those who knew the Maxwell family are shocked by the tragic loss.
"We have suffered an unspeakable loss as a community. There's not a person here tonight who is not hurting. There's not a person here tonight who wouldn't do anything to help the family in their loss," said Pastor John Cook.
Church officials say no date has been set for the funerals.
